Hi, I recently acquired a 3060 Ti used and have encountered an unusual problem. Whenever I power on the PC, the monitor shows a signal but displays a black screen with nothing visible. This also happens when I restart or wake up from sleep, not just when waking from the display being off. Reinstalling drivers or rebooting in safe mode doesn’t resolve it. The system still functions in the background, and I can open applications without issues. Replugging the HDMI cable several times sometimes helps, though it’s not a guaranteed fix. Once the screen appears again, the GPU works properly until I put the PC to sleep, restart it, or shut it down, at which point I have to repeat the cable connection process. This seems more related to the GPU than the motherboard or other components.

GPU: ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Twin Edge
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H-CF
PSU: Cooler Master MWE Bronze 650W
SSD: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB

I’ve tried running DDU in safe mode and installing new drivers, but these attempts have failed. Changing the HDMI cable hasn’t helped either. I’m fairly sure the problem lies with the GPU, as I previously swapped it out for a GTX 1660 and didn’t experience the same issue. Since my CPU lacks integrated graphics, I can’t test that. Also, I can’t access BIOS because of the persistent black screen at startup.

Thank you!

I don't have a specific purchase history for a GPU. Could you clarify which GPU you're referring to and provide more details?

I bought it used from a marketplace, which might not have been wise since I can no longer reach the original seller.

It seems like the device might be faulty. That's why I reached out. Consult Zotac to see if it's still covered under warranty. Probably not, though.
