Question: Are there unnecessary beep codes?
I own a Gigabyte 550i Aorus Pro AX with a buzzer beeper installed.
When I start up without connecting a DisplayPort cable to the GPU, the board produces one long beep followed by two short beeps, which seems to signal a GPU-related POST error. Even though the beep code appears, the system still boots normally. Once I connect the DP cable afterward, the Windows lock screen appears.
If I use the DisplayPort cable instead, the POST emits just one short beep and everything functions correctly.
After replacing the GPU with another model and repeating the process, the same pattern occurs. Does the device really make noise when it can't display anything? I don’t recall this behavior from my initial PC setup, though I might have never tried booting without any connection.
