Question about Windows 10's Virtual Desktop feature
This function was among the key features I expected, as I prefer keeping different workspaces distinct. I’m curious if each virtual desktop includes its own separate taskbar. For instance, one desktop might be dedicated to Steam games, where I could place Steam on the taskbar and maybe Chrome (or Edge later). Another desktop could be for streaming, with OBS visible there. From what I’ve seen in videos, this capability doesn’t appear, though it might be due to changes in how taskbars are handled across virtual desktops.
The update isn't finished, but the technical preview shows a shared taskbar.
I suggest using the method I follow on Macs—attach a side button to the mouse key combo so you can view all desktops, then select the one you need. I’m not sure how it will function in 10 years, but it simplifies things on OSX and feels very natural.
