Question about upgrading the blue light filter on a ThinkPad T16 gen 2.
Is anyone aware of a ThinkPad T16 gen 2 that's Eyesafe Certified 2.0? I purchased one and noticed there was no Eyesafe logo on the device or the packaging. I've heard the logo should appear both on the product and the outer box for consumer confidence. Lenovo claims they omitted the sticker because my order was customized. Would you feel confident it actually has certification? Thank you!
Lenovo mentions their order was customized and omitted the Eyesafe sticker. Consider inquiring how to confirm if the panel in your custom purchase includes the desired feature. If the package doesn’t reference that feature, it’s not part of your actual device. If they can’t confirm, returning the laptop would be advisable.
Is it really important? Blue light blocking is just a trick, with no proof it enhances sleep or cuts down on eye fatigue.
Lutfij, please let me know your thoughts. Could you clarify what you think counts as an acceptable verification? If I get a second laptop with identical specifications and no branding on it, would that imply the first one has the same feature? It seems unlikely they'd accidentally leave it out of two devices.
I understand, you might be correct. However, I had convinced myself that the Eyesafe certification was my choice, and it's difficult to abandon that belief now.
My argument is that it doesn’t really matter whether it is or not. Blue light filtering actually does something, so the product remains the same whether or not it’s used. Blue light filtering is just as effective as claiming a lump of quartz in your toilet cistern helps with constipation.
I see your concern. You paid more for the upgrade, and you want to confirm whether you received it correctly.
