Question about Thermaltake Smart PSU
Question about Thermaltake Smart PSU
Before I even start, I KNOW this is a cheap PSU, and I am aware there are better ones out there. Please don't lecture me about this budget decision because I already know. Not trying to be snarky, just don't waste your time telling me what a bad decision it is. I am fully aware and did so because of reasons.
I don't recall these power supplies coming with the black "flat" harness wires rather than ketchup and mustard inside a sleeve. Have I just forgotten, or they have always been this way? If not, when did they change?
The Smart models were available in different versions, including a 24pin with colored wires and an SE version featuring all black cables. They were also flat cables. I encountered several projects where the power supply unit needed replacement, which also affected other components—sometimes damaging the client's motherboard and discrete GPU, despite using a GT730 GPU. Good luck with your PSU!
