It shouldn't just run a bit slower; you might encounter problems using a standard fan from a PC. The connector type is a 2-pin fan header, which could be one of those smaller ones, like the one mentioned in the link.

I didn’t review this mb but after reassembling everything, it hasn’t caused any issues yet, so I’m hoping it’s resolved.
