Question about the Lenovo ThinkStation P710 with a flickering screen in Bois
Hi
I received some guidance on what to do next.
I purchased a second-hand Lenovo ThinkStation P710 from a well-reviewed eBay seller.
The PC starts up normally, but when I enter BIOS by pressing F1, the screen flickers briefly before disappearing and reappearing.
When I press Esc to exit BIOS, a yes/no prompt appears and the screen stays on.
If I choose No to return to BIOS, the screen flickers again.
The BIOS version is up to date, but I’m considering flashing it again as a last attempt to resolve the flickering issue.
Anyone have advice on the best way to flash BIOS on Lenovo PCs? Or should I try an alternative method?
verify connection via monitor or cable, check video port, restart BIOS using jumper switch

Hey
@helpstar
Thanks for your response. I managed to boot the PC long enough to install Win11 and updates. However, after roughly an hour the screen began flickering on and off again. The graphics card is a second-hand one I purchased from FB Marketplace (Quadro K2200). I installed the original card that came with the PC (Quadro M2000), but it didn’t work at all—no output from any of the four DP ports. I reached out to the seller asking if I could receive a replacement after returning the faulty one. Overall, I believe the graphics card was defective. I’ll follow up with the seller based on this outcome.
