I recently increased my CPU's clock speed and achieved stable performance at 4.2Ghz without changing the voltage. However, I've observed that during CPU-heavy games like Arma 3, the temperature can climb to 70-85°C. Could this affect my CPU or is it capable of handling it? I use my PC frequently and am concerned about damaging it. Thank you in advance!

Tim_B shared his experience about overclocking his CPU and maintaining stable performance at 4.2Ghz without changing the voltage. He mentioned that during CPU-heavy games like Arma 3, temperatures can reach 70-85°C. He asked if this could damage the CPU or if it should be fine, expressing concern about overheating. He noted that while 85°C is quite high, it shouldn’t burn the CPU and suggested increasing fan speed to help manage heat.
