Question about tailoring Windows 10 ISO files
Question about tailoring Windows 10 ISO files
You can modify the ISO file and set up drivers without needing a full Windows reinstall. Use tools like Rufus or WinRAR to create a bootable USB, then follow the installation steps for your device directly from there. This way, you avoid installing drivers after the clean install.
The standard method involves using the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/window...dk-install The simpler approach is NTLite. https://www.ntlite.com/ For installing software into a system image, first install Windows, then your application, and finally employ the Sysprep tool to standardize and re-seal the setup, enabling you to generate a fresh installation file.
I attempted the tool then performed a clean install of Windows 10, but no pre-installed drivers are available. I used the latest version of the tool.

I used the newest release 1.0.5 on November 1st, 2022 at 3:00 PM Pacific time. I created a bootable USB with Rufus, removed the old install.wim file, added the new one, restarted the PC and booted from the USB. The process failed. Updated November 13, 2023 by LogicalDrm
