Are there any other SWTOR players who oppose the idea of forcing newcomers to earn their level 60 rank? I think new players should be able to advance without such pressure.

If there was a subscription model, I’d oppose it. But since it’s free-to-play now, they need another way to earn revenue.

the game has really faded, though i still enjoy swtor. most folks have moved on, which is sad. if more people played it, it would be great, but honestly, many of us—including me—just don’t like leveling up a mmo just to see if it’s worth it. i’d rather spend money and figure out what to expect before committing time, instead of wasting a week on something i’ll never finish because of the endgame. i appreciate they’re using mmos, but i wish they’d provide a video guide to explain the lore and require a progression path before letting you into higher content. that would make the experience more manageable, similar to how older games handled attunement before raids.

These offerings are useful for helping players return and stay engaged with the latest content. The endgame remains a key point of interest for many MMO players, making it important to bypass tedious progression stages. Those who care about the narrative will still complete the experience.
