Safety comes with a cost. Even though opening up isn't incorrect, using a dehumidifier and sealing it inside the PC would help remove all moisture. Still, I'd let it dry gradually first to avoid any warping if the board becomes wet or soaked.

I connected the PSU and performed a simple power-on test using a paperclip. It produced the usual click sound and the fan started spinning. This is my first time working with this particular PSU (Antec NE550 GOLD). After removing it from the case, the fan was installed upside down, which is the only way it could be positioned without obstruction. The Antec label in the center of the fan and the warranty sticker on a screw remain fully intact, so I’m uncertain about the extent of any water damage. Odd. Should I try connecting everything again?

The test provides limited information beyond confirming the fuse remains intact and the fan operates. Proper testing with a PSU tester under load is necessary. There are numerous voltage controllers and regulators inside, so even a minor issue in any could result in excessive voltage reaching components within the PC. The outcome is unpredictable and can vary from complete failure to partial functionality or complete damage. Only the overall system performance depends on the entire setup.
