You can use higher bitrates in OBS for better quality, but the exact value depends on your source and output settings. Generally, 8k or 16k is common for video, but check your specific source and target platform. Let me know if you need more details!

Increasing bitrate and buffer rate improves quality, but setting an excessively high bitrate may limit viewers, as many users don’t have fast internet connections.

The simplest method to determine a suitable bitrate is by using this tool – https://obsproject.com/estimator. It calculated a bitrate based on your speeds with the standard settings of 3500 and a buffer of 3500.

It mentioned streaming at around 720p or 1080p, but it seems the quality isn’t great. Would you mind checking it out? If you have any tips on what to enhance, I’d appreciate it. http://www.twitch.tv/demonhax

I would, but I'm currently at school, so I can't really do that now.

For 720p the range is 2200-2700, while 1080p works best between 2700-3500. Most professionals stick to below 3500 for bitrate. Don't worry, Twitch doesn<|pad|>'s limit normal users to prevent lag on connections under 1-2MB.
