It looks like achieving 60FPS at 1080p requires turning off ray tracing, and even DLSS Performance isn't enough. The game is Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Do you have others facing the same issue? This should work smoothly at 1080p60 with RTX. Regardless of settings, I'm stuck at 30 unless I enable RTX. My CPU is 3900X, GPU is 4070Ti, and I have 64GB RAM. What's causing this problem and how can I fix it?

The game's RT doesn't significantly enhance the visuals and negatively impacts performance on most systems, so it's usually disabled. The same applies to DLSS and frame generation.

Is this concern unique to the current game or does it apply to other titles as well?

I'm pointing out that the main issue is the poor execution of features in this specific game. You're also dealing with an older CPU that could limit performance and needs significant adjustments. How much progress have you made in the game? By the time players reach Ramblers Reach Outpost on Koboh, many realize how severe the problems can become.

I've seen it happen already, just about an hour in. The CPU isn't even a problem. The GPU handles the RTX work. That shouldn't be an issue. If we're stuck at 30 at 1080p, I think something's wrong with the game.

Absolutely, it's definitely the game that's the issue—they didn't implement those features well. I'm also warning you about potential other problems when you reach Koboh, especially because of your older CPU. You might want to try the easiest mode and fast track to Koboh to fit in some gameplay within the 2-hour refund period.

It's just two generations old, but it has a 12-core design, which should work well. In general, most systems run under 55% load with the RTX, and about 25% without, leaving plenty of room.

It might be acceptable because the game is being played at 1080p, but what's ahead will be significantly more resource-intensive, and the frame rate is likely to decrease. You didn't mention the specific graphics configurations you're using, did you?
