the precise version of the kingston is unclear since i discovered only an nvme variant, not sata.

It's not NVMe, but my motherboard somehow supports NVMe anyway.
So I'm confused because the person from the shop said my laptop is compatible with this M.2 type.

Even more of an issue is that if it doesn't support, I won't be able to return it.
