Question about SSD issues with HP laptops
Hello everyone, I recently purchased a new M.2 SSD from Kingston to replace his faulty one. After setting it up correctly, neither HP diagnostics nor Windows 10 detected the M.2 drive. The SSD model is Kingston SNV2. The laptop is an HP 255 G7 with 4GB RAM and an AMD CPU (specific model not specified).
I believe the Ryzen support for NVMe M.2 is limited to the newer APU models, while the older APU only works with SATA M.2.
Sorry, I just noticed it's actually SATA, and I don't understand why I thought it was NVMe.
What's the issue? What version of the new M.2 did you receive?
