Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out for assistance as I’m feeling quite overwhelmed.
I’m assembling a basic build and have the following parts listed.
Switching on the colour LEDs of the MB works fine.
However, when I attempt to power it up, I see two quick flashes from the CPU and RAM LEDs on the MB, but nothing else.
I’ve tried replacing the RAM with one from QVL, but it didn’t help.
The RAM sticks are still in A2 and B2.
Something unusual: the CMOS battery wasn’t connected properly when the MB arrived, which might mean the CMOS data was lost.
I’m not sure what to do next.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

You didn't specify the PSU's make and model or its age. Did you attempt to breadboard the system using one stick of RAM in slot A2? One unusual observation is that the CMOS battery wasn't connected correctly when the mb arrived, which likely caused the CMOS data to be lost. It doesn't matter; you could try replacing the CMOS battery with a new one. Was the board bought brand new?

Ok sorry for the lack of relevant info.
MB brand new, tried with 1 stick with same results.
PSU is MarsGaming MPB550

With everything connected correctly and verified, it would be simpler for me to send the items to a PC Store and ask them to test each component individually, since one might be faulty or nonworking—nothing out of the ordinary here. Otherwise, it could turn into a long and complicated process unless you have backup parts available.
