I had an electrician recently. He caused a power surge that damaged a power strip and several bulbs. My PC was running when I thought he finished, but now a few days later every time I try to stream my PC blue-screens with a different code, it keeps blue-screening. I’ve checked using Open Hardware Monitor and y-cruncher under load, and it failed with an error about the logical core. I thought it might be a driver conflict, so I reset Windows 10 Pro and installed new drivers. Still, the blue screen appears when I’m using OBS or playing an intense game. Last night I played Fallout 4 for about eight hours without issues, but with OBS it blue-screens my whole system in 30 minutes or less. I’m not sure if other programs are causing this problem.

My system specs are: Ryzen 5 7600X, Gigabyte B650M DS3H Micro ATX, TeamGroup T-Force Delta 32GB (2x16) DDR5-6000 CL38, Samsung EVO 970 500GB, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 6800 XT.

I ran tests on OCCT – CPU and RAM showed hundreds of errors in seconds, Linpack about 30 seconds, GPU worked well at full load for minutes without errors, and the PSU handled 270W+ for a few minutes. I’m pretty sure the motherboard is the issue.

What do you think?

If MoBo were the problem, you wouldn't be able to start the operating system. Also, the symptoms indicate a damaged CPU, specifically one of the cores. You might want to run bench tests, such as CinebenchR, to check if performance improves. If you remember correctly, you can choose between single-core and multi-core tests. A multi-core test would likely fail or take an extremely long time if a core is faulty. Therefore, consider replacing the CPU and inform the technician or company about the issue, as it appears to be their responsibility.
