I was wondering if there's any way to keep this processor going. Like changing voltages? This pc has random BSOD. And lately it'll just shut off. Wait a few minutes and turns back on. Everything is default, XMP isn't stable so it's off. [SOLVED] - Random BSOD My PC has randomly blue screen since I build it back in early 2020. I have done MemTest86 4 passes without an error. I have reinstalled windows multiple times, made sure I'm using most recent drivers. Bios is updated to newest release. It seems to blue screen while watching videos on chrome most... forums. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I constructed it myself, upgraded the motherboard to an ASRock B550M PRO4 for eight months, after which the board failed and I switched back to an MSI model. The PC functioned identically on both boards. Occasional blue screens appeared randomly. I installed Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z with 32GB (TLZGD432G3600HC18JDC01) on the ASRock unit. Power supply was a Corsair CX Series 550 (CP-9020102-NA). The ASRock board displayed a blue screen slightly less severely. XMP settings also didn't activate successfully.
you can't just change the boards, you'll face errors. it's necessary to perform a full reinstall of windows because it's looking for drivers you don't have.
check your pc case for any gaps or protrusions that might touch the underside of the board.
what is your pc case?
did you refresh the bios for each board to the latest version? and amds board drivers.
things to try: replace cmos battery on motherboard, ensure ram is in slots 2 and 4, confirm your nvme has a heatsink, use team force on the msi board, consider a different power supply or replace it—cx psus aren't trustworthy. i also used m3 fibre washers for pc under the screws when mounting the board because some manufacturers don’t insulate the area well and it caused shorts.
