I might have thought I could simply connect my two Mackie CR3 desktop speakers (using one split 3.5mm) to the rear speaker output (black). But perhaps it was the green line all along.
Could anyone confirm whether I should use the black jack instead of the green jack? Or is there any chance that this Realtek device won’t even allow me to connect at all?
I also tested connecting my small Bluetooth/3.5mm Amazon speaker into the black jack while keeping the speaker cable in the green jack to check if it would only work with the green jack connected.
Here’s the Realtek Audio Control setting you can use:

It does display a Windows notification when I switch between the black and green jacks, but it seems there isn’t much more I can do to make that specific port function properly.
System details:
Windows 11, Realtek Audio Control drivers
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060
32 GB RAM
i7-11700 CPU

Use the green jack for two-channel audio. The black jack is suitable only for a four-channel setup with Dolby or DTS surround sound.
