Question about Ram OC's status
Question about Ram OC's status
Leme just shared my rig first.
Rig:
Mobo gigabyte b450 gaming x
Ryzen 5 2600
Gtx 1660 super 6GB Vram
PSU Seasonic FOCUS GX-750 G+
16 GB (8x2 and on proper slots) 3200mhz (had it OCd at 2933mhz, max for my cpu to handle)
I’ve had this setup for about a year and four months now. Performance issues started appearing.
I figured it was time to update the drivers for the BIOS. There were four versions, so I downloaded the latest one and installed it.
After updating, I realized all the BIOS settings were missing (I had a saved profile). I booted the profile again and the computer restarted three times before starting up.
At first, it seemed normal, but only the CPU clock was OCd and the RAM was 2133mhz (default for my system).
I searched for fixes even going back to that older version, but nothing helped.
My performance is worse than ever, so I’m looking for help in this forum.
Hope someone can assist! THANKS!!
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Could you share the BIOS version you're using right now? Also, how recent is your PSU in this setup? What operating system are you working with at the moment? Try not to use an outdated BIOS, as it can cause serious issues.
Hi, thank you for your response. My motherboard model is F61, and the PSU has three months left. I'm using Windows 10 with the latest update (though I'm not sure of the exact version). It feels like my computer is running slower than before, and this issue shows up in Task Manager.
It seems your current setup has a problem where certain slots don't work properly. I've changed the motherboard to fix the issue, and it's functioning correctly now. Should I consider replacing the motherboard?
