Question about Ram

I keep going through a lot of info and it's getting confusing. I'm trying to figure this out. Right now I have 16 gigabytes if my GSKILL is boosted from 3000 MHz to 3200 MHz. I'm thinking about adding more RAM, aiming for 32 gigabytes. I've just started streaming and I'm using over half of my 16 gigabytes just for RAM, which seems to be causing glitches especially when playing GTA/FiveM. I'm also using Discord, Steam, TeamSpeak, and Stramblabs. My main questions are: 1) Does my Z390-A motherboard support quad-channel? What is quad-channel and why would I need it? 2) If I stream and play from one PC, is 32 gigabytes really necessary? What should I consider? All this research has only made things more unclear.

16 GB is sufficient at the moment, but adding a little more would be beneficial later.

your mainboard isn't compatible with quad channel, only HEDT-Intel CPUs are supported

The Quad Channel setup is quite confusing with all the mixed advice out there. Are you asking if your system would work with a specific motherboard and CPU? If yes, does your 8700K fit the requirements regardless of the motherboard support?

The 8700K only works with dual-channel configurations. For more than dual-channel support on Intel systems, you'll need a X99, X199 or X299 processor along with a compatible CPU.
