Hi, I have an old PC and I'm curious about running older versions of 3ds Max like 2017, 2016, and 2018. I have a CPU A8 6500B, GPU R5 240, and 12GB RAM (11.2GB usable). Can I run animations and create 3D scenes with particles or molecules? Also, what other software can I use for making 3D scenes? I'm not familiar with these programs and want to know if my PC will work. Please help me!

In reality, finding software from 2013 or 2015 would be more difficult, and as time passes with updates, a more advanced system becomes necessary. Actually, upgrading your current setup could end up being more expensive than purchasing a basic system in 2024 that includes modern components.

Is it better to avoid using free Blender? It offers 3D rendering and animation features.

You possess the necessary equipment, I don't.
Is it challenging for you to attempt this on your own?
