Question about PC failing to wake up after a PSU change
Question about PC failing to wake up after a PSU change
So i bought a new psu (msi mag 650bn) couple of months ago but i realized that issue recently. Whenever my pc go sleep, if i press keyboard or mouse to wake it up, fans are start spinning and rgb lights on the case turns on but no power to keyboard mouse and no signal on monitor. I have to turn on and off my psu's power switch to restart the pc everytime this happens. Also if i flick the power supply switch off then back on right away when trying to wake up from sleep, pc stops working and starts again instantly but still no power to anything except to case fans and rgbs on the case. I have to wait for couple of seconds before i flick to psu power switch on to completely shut down the pc. I also tried my old psu and i had no issue with that one
Also i had no problem with any stress test or games what so ever. I have tried occt power test at extreme, prime 95, furmark etc.

PSU: MSİ MAG 650BN

I tested several different cables and the same issue occurred. I updated the post with my specifications.
Use only the cables that came with the new PSU.

Hey, I attempted to start in safe mode and the same issue occurred when putting my PC to sleep. I'm sharing the video here. I'm also using the original power cable for the PSU. View: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Uy0GGr7NUDI
Can using the Windows shutdown options effectively power off the computer? Yes, selecting the shutdown menu in Windows should terminate the system properly.
i don't face any issues when restarting or turning on my pc. this issue appears only when the pc enters sleep/hibernation mode.
