Hey everyone. I recently added a 5900x into the system and cooled it down with an NH-D15S. It’s housed in a HAF XM case. My old CPU was a 9700k with an offset of 2, which helped it handle AVX tasks without overheating. If I were running FFXIV on that setup, temperatures would sit around 38-50°C, averaging about 45°C. With the 5900x, it’s more in the 45-55 range, averaging roughly 48°C. For Witcher 3, it would likely be 50-55°C with medium settings—still within a comfortable zone. I noticed a jump to 67°C when playing FFXIV, which was a bit surprising since I’m used to lower temps (around 1080p). I don’t have PBO enabled and only use about 5% of the CPU in FFXIV and 15% in Witcher 3. During Cinebench Multi-core runs, I hit up to 65 single-core passes, peaking at 70. Idling stays between 30-35°C, and I have four more cores than my previous machine, so no offset is keeping speeds from spiking. Overall, these temps feel manageable, though a bit higher than before. New World pushed the 9700k to about 65-67°C, which was a bit intense. Let me know what you think!
