I tried overclocking my Q9400, adjusting the "CPU Frequency Setting" in my BIOS from 333 up to 400. My BIOS reported a FSB of 1600, but when checking the CPU frequency in cpuz, it stayed at 1333 and the actual speed remained unchanged. I'm using a G41M motherboard.

Increase the cpu voltage and chipset voltage, such as the nort bridge, to boost clocks further. I pushed every setting to its limit, including ram, nb, and cpu voltage, which helped raise the fsb from 266 to 333 on Q6600. Only the e5800 (pentium) managed to reach 450 at that level.
