question about OC a gtx 750ti
question about OC a gtx 750ti
Hey everyone, I have a GTX 750TI OC with 2GB RAM and two fans. While playing GTA V, I sometimes notice lag. I think it might be due to my limited RAM or possibly the internet connection, but the internet isn’t the issue for me. The real concern is figuring out the right fan speeds—I’m unsure how much MHz I should set. Also, could you let me know if my system can handle an OC upgrade? I’m worried it might damage the hardware. Thanks!
The issue isn't related to your GPU; you should consider upgrading to 8 GB of RAM. Several people have reported problems with 4 GB in GTA 5.
Ali Tauseef explains that the issue isn't related to your GPU but requires upgrading to 8 GB of RAM. He mentions complaints about 4 GB in GTA 5 and questions whether the lack of sufficient RAM is the main problem, especially since he can't afford more. He also asks if it's a good idea to close the GPU.
Gianniscfa responded with additional details about the situation.

Hey, as I mentioned, the RAM isn't enough. Are you certain the problem lies with the insufficient RAM in your system? Since I don’t have much money to spend on RAM, especially if there’s no noticeable difference, would it really be worth trying to upgrade the GPU?
If confirming the problem is the lack of RAM, then proceed accordingly. Also, think about overclocking the GPU or replacing it—there are cheaper options available.
You can get another 4 GB for a low price. Thanks!
Haha, the issue is that I can’t install another RAM stick on my motherboard because the first one didn’t work when I bought it, and I didn’t get it returned. So I have to use the second one only. I own an H110M-HDV, which is a mini ATX with two RAM slots, so I need to find an 8 GB RAM module.
Consider selling what you own and purchasing a single 8-inch gig.
Thanks, haha the issue is I can't install another RAM stick on my motherboard because when I bought it the first time the initial power supply wasn't working. I'm a total idiot since I didn't get it returned. So I have to use the second one. I own an H110M-HDV which is a mini ATX with two slots, meaning I need to look for an 8GB RAM module only. Single 8GB RAM modules aren't that uncommon: http://pcpartpicker.com/products/memory/...a10&page=1

I know you're right, but let's say they're not too rare, then what's the problem? Either I sell my mobile and buy another one, or I sell my 4GB RAM stick and get an 8GB RAM...
