A noise that emerges only when I bring my ear near the motherboard of the computer and almost towards or inside the power supply unit. Sometimes it seems to originate from the processor side, but closer to the PSU it becomes very clear. It is a continuous sound like a sharp beep. The unusual aspect is that it doesn’t appear just when the computer starts up; it appears as soon as electricity is connected, without even pressing the power button. It shows up and stops immediately after turning off the machine or disconnecting the power cable. People say it’s coil whine, but I’m not sure because the sounds vary between computers and aren’t always continuous—sometimes there are just interruptions. I don’t know if it affects the components or is just bothersome. Note: The sound isn’t very strong or obvious at this level, but it becomes clear when I get very close to the motherboard or PSU. I rarely hear it while working on the computer, even though it’s present. When I test with my ears, I notice it’s loud and noticeable, but moving a bit away makes it disappear. Connecting the power cable to the computer without turning it on keeps the sound steady. Once the computer is off, the noise persists until the power cord is removed or the power is cut. I’ve attached a recording of the sound. Is this typical or concerning?

Obtain an empty roll of paper towels, position one end near your ear and maneuver the other end around the PC until you locate the sound's origin.

From the motherboard, various issues can arise. You need to identify the changes that might be causing problems, as they could lead to damage if not addressed properly.

Where exactly is the motherboard located? Additionally, could you share the details of your motherboard and processor?
