Disabling all services and startup entries in msconfig won’t necessarily halt the computer. It depends on which services are critical for your system. Keep essential programs running while removing or disabling non-essential ones. Avoid disabling core utilities like network, file explorer, or security tools unless you’re certain they’re safe.

Essential services that launch automatically are necessary for basic Windows functions to work. You won’t need any startup programs. For most users, it’s helpful to adjust services like Windows Media Player Networking, Remote services, and the Print Spooler to manual mode.

You're asking why something is being turned off, but no specific context was provided. Could you clarify what you're referring to? That way I can give you a more accurate explanation.

Feeling hesitant about changing your startup programs and services indicates something deeper—suggesting you might not even have a functional PC. Technology fear can really hold you back in such ways.

The essential elements in startup processes and services are either what Windows requires or what you decide to install. It doesn’t make sense to turn off any of these if you initially allowed them.

I added QuickTime for compatibility with Adobe tools. It wasn’t necessary for system startup, so I disabled it.

People usually do that, but why disable all window tasks?

I disabled all remote services since I realized I wouldn’t require access to my PC from afar. It’s a potential security issue that could arise.
