The motherboard details are quite straightforward. Nearly all M.2 devices function properly—ranging from Samsung 850 to 980 models, through WD Black/Blue and Intel P2, etc. It’s unlikely you’ll encounter a NVMe drive that won’t fit.

Most M.2 SSDs fit into two types: one notch for NVMe or two notches for AHCI (SATA). Newer motherboards with M.2 ports usually work with both, such as your B365M pro-VDH. Things get trickier on laptops or very old boards.
