I dropped my phone on the laptop keyboard, and the screen looked damaged with static sounds. I panicked and performed a force shutdown. It worked for a couple of months then the artifacts started appearing again. The first time it restarted, there was no display at all. I tried connecting it to an external monitor but it didn’t recognize it. I’m planning to use it for gaming for an hour to see if the issue resolves. Is that a good plan? What might be causing this?

I can analyze the image to determine the precise location where the phone landed on the laptop. It's possible the cooling assembly was damaged, especially if the cooler is positioned beneath the keyboard or motherboard. You may want to use DDU to remove GPU drivers and reinstall them manually with administrative privileges. Disassembling the laptop could also help inspect any affected areas for SMD components. Regarding your operating system, which version of Windows 10 are you using? Also, can you access the BIOS and remain there indefinitely? What is the BIOS version on your laptop at this time?

I played around with it and everything seemed okay. I also tried shaking it to look for loose parts, but nothing came up. It’s just something random that happens. I probably won’t be able to fix it myself, so I might install a new Windows version and see if the issue persists. Maybe I’ll take it to a repair shop then. Thanks! The BIOS is standard. I’ll check later.
