Question about keyboard or mouse operation in Bios
My old motherboard stopped working and I swapped it for a Gigabyte B550 Eagle wifi6, adding components from the previous setup.
Build details:
Gigabyte B550 Eagle wifi6
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5550
RAM: 32GB Corsair 16GB x 2
SSD: Seagate BarraCuda Q5 2T (from earlier build)
GPU: Radeon 580 Series
The machine won’t boot normally but keeps looping. I need to access the BIOS to fix the boot issue. I can open BIOS but once it’s running I lose control of the keyboard and mouse. I’ve tried various keyboards, reset CMOS and BIOS, and tried all known solutions. Anyone have advice?
When modifying the motherboard, it's likely necessary to perform a complete Windows reinstall.
I'm still facing an issue. The system won't boot or switch the boot order to use a flash drive, and I need to access Bios to fix this.
When I power on the computer, I can press the Del key to access BIOS and also F12 for the boot sequence, but once that's done there is no keyboard or mouse functionality. Question. If I remove the SSD card and leave only the flash drive containing the Wind.11 recovery information, could it boot from the F. drive? Yes, both the keyboard and the mouse worked before entering BIOS.
I removed the drive and started the computer. I followed the instructions to "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key." Then I placed the drive in a USB port, pressed a key and the same message appeared again.
The issue has been fixed. The CPU was the problem initially. It was returned to AMD and replaced. Everything is working properly now!
