this might occur because of thermal expansion on the connection, leading the drive to disconnect and reconnect during use.
reconnection could be blocked until a reboot occurs.
previously, you could bypass this by enabling hotswap on SATA ports (though it's not a permanent solution).
with NVMe drives, you need to disconnect and re-seat the drive for improved performance.
sometimes better cooling can prevent this issue.
