Question About Issues with Acer Nitro V 15 Models Seen Online?
This is my first time purchasing a gaming laptop, so I’m looking for some insights from users before making the decision. After some research recently, I discovered a suitable model—the Nitro V 15 equipped with an RTX 4060 GPU and an Intel i7 CPU, priced around $1020 USD.
However, I’ve noticed that some people have reported issues with the build quality of this model, such as screen blackouts during gaming sessions.
I’m curious whether these kinds of problems are common in the Nitro V series or if they’re specific to the RTX 4000 lineup across all brands.
Additionally, could you recommend any other laptops that offer a similar price range? Thank you for your help.

- Any other details you’d like to share?
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Or is this a challenge shared by all RTX 4000 series laptops from different brands?
If the problem spans across all brands, it might point to a driver issue. Usually, I haven’t encountered such issues with laptops that have an RTX4000 GPU in a laptop.
Also, if you know of any good alternatives with similar prices, please let me know.
You may want to mention your location, your budget for the purchase, and your preferred buying platform.
ic, after removing one of them
Perhaps the blackout issue on the screen is linked to Acer.
I found myself in Hong Kong with a budget ranging from 7000 to 10000hkd (about 800 to 1250 USD).
I tend to buy from official online stores or physical shops of computer brands, as they feel more reliable for someone just starting. Amazon could also be a good option.
