Question about Intel(R) PCI Express Root Port #3 - 7ABA concerning WHEA issues.
I recently encountered a WHEA error while searching for another issue on the forum.
The specific details are: Vendor ID 8086, Device ID 7ABA.
I have the Port #3 problem. I followed the same steps mentioned in the post, but nothing on the Intel site mentions device ID 7ABA.
Someone suggested it might be an SSD PCIe slot issue or a failing SSD. I replaced the slot and swapped my NVMe drive into another one. Now, every time I power on my PC, the same WHEA error appears.
About two weeks ago, I experienced 110 errors, and now it’s 152 of the same type.
I updated my BIOS, but the problem persists. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You mentioned the previous slot and the new one for the SSD, but those details weren't included in your earlier messages. Regarding the partitions, I’m not sure how they were created or why the drive got assigned letter G after the first C drive. Concerning the drives, have you tried using WD’s Dashboard to check for any pending firmware updates?
Your RAM is Corsair DDR5 16x2 GB 5200. Do you have a link to the RAM kit you used?
I updated my BIOS, but the error continues to appear. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
After verifying the BIOS flash, did you reset the CMOS? This would help confirm whether the OS, drivers, or SSD were involved. To further investigate, I’d consider getting an SSD from someone else or using a nearby drive to perform a clean OS installation via a bootable USB, then manually install all required drivers in an elevated command prompt.
Previously used in M2A CPU, now moved to M2P SB. (https://ibb.co/MWv4hny)
Used a partition tool from Github since a Discord tech support group suggested it. It offered the chance to rename partitions, so I chose G for Gaming.
WD, if I recall right, it came with its own software but I never opened it. Or maybe I didn’t even install it. Should I search online and try updating the firmware?

I think it’s 4800, possibly related to XMP being enabled or disabled.
No, I never cleared the CMOS.
I was hoping to avoid a clean install yet. I get the idea this is the final step, but I wanted to keep it for now. I ran an SFC Scan and it fixed many issues. I have a log of that, if it’s useful.
