Question about i9 10900
Hello, I’m setting up to buy two sets of identical 2x32 3200mhz RAM modules, totaling four sticks with 128GB of memory. I’ll be using an i9-10900 and noticed on Intel’s site that the maximum number of memory channels is two. Does this imply the CPU will only recognize two of those RAM sticks, even though the motherboard supports four slots?
I'll use it for heavy video and audio editing. Appreciate your support!
Since not every program outside major categories performs optimally with Ryzen versus Intel, preferences vary among users. Many audio applications rely on just one or two cores, and the Intel compiler often delivers better results compared to Ryzen CPUs. Performance isn't solely determined by core count; it heavily depends on available software support for production tools.
