Question about i7 4790k manual voltage
Question about i7 4790k manual voltage
I've got an I7 4790k overclocked at [email protected] with Aida 64 running for 15 minutes without any issues. My concern is whether my motherboard (Asus H97 Pro Gamer) lacks adaptive or offset voltage support. Should I keep it on manual voltage constantly, or might this lead to problems? The idle temperatures are between 29-32°C, and under full load Aida 64 reaches around 67°C. Thanks in advance.
manual is acceptable
4.6ghz @ 1.18v performs exceptionally well!
For the same speed I suggest a longer rest period beyond 15 minutes
My first attempts to achieve a stable overclock lasted about an hour CPU rest, followed by 10 3dmark runs and 4 hours of gaming (4 games at 1 hour each)
manual is acceptable
4.6ghz @ 1.18v performs quite well
Requires 1.26v for identical speed
Suggested to extend the overclock session beyond 15 minutes
Current tests show stability after about an hour CPU testing, 10 3dmark runs, and 4 hours of gaming (4 games at 1 hour each)
So I ran Aida 64 for 40 minutes without any issues, and played Arma 3 for a few hours without problems. I also ran Cinebench multiple times and 3dmark. If I keep the settings at 1.180 or push it higher to around 1.290v while staying constant, should that be okay? Also, I increased the cache to 41 on both lowest and highest configurations during testing. The temperatures ranged from 27°C to 68°C.
yes, as long as temperatures are favorable and you remain under 1.35v, everything is okay
