I put in my 212 EVO recently and when I exert a specific pressure on it, it shifts slightly...is this typical?

I adjusted them to the maximum extent...it shifts roughly a centimeter. I think it’ll become visible once you verify the temperatures... Yeah, you should be okay as long as the readings are normal.

Yeah, my Pure Rock cooler does that. If it isn't more than a centimeter you should be fine but try tightening your mounting screws for good measure.

This model stands out among similar options because of its design features. The mounting system on the 212 supports sliding and slight rotation, which is beneficial. Many users appreciate the performance and affordability of the Hyper 212, but they often face limitations when trying to access memory near the CPU.

This couple paired with my OCD means I have to take apart everything and put it back together again. If I understood it right, I’d have chosen a different cooler instead. Let’s check the temperatures first...
