Probably there will never be a 9070 XTX, but have there been any discussions from AMD about another version of the 9070 or 9070 XT with GDDR7 VRAM?
Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti: 16GB GDDR7, 256bit, 28Gbps, 1750MHz, 896GB/s
AMD Radeon RX 9070: 16GB GDDR6, 256bit, 20Gbps, 2500MHz, 640GB/s
Both use 256bit, why does the 5070 offer +8Gbps and +256GB/s? Likely because of GDDR7.
Isn’t it funny that the prices for 9070 16GB and 9070 XT 16GB are almost the same as the RX 7900 XTX 24GB, which is an 8GB VRAM difference but the card costs are nearly identical? Must be a joke!

The 7900 XTX was launched two years ago for $999, and the MSRP keeps shifting during a GPU's lifespan. It’s unlikely the 9000-series will ever adopt GDDR7 unless they’ve developed another version of the chip over time, with no leaks reported. Backing GDDR7 would likely need a controller redesign on the core. Additionally, the good supply situation in physical stores comes from not having to rival NVIDIA for GDDR7 availability. Avoiding GDDR7 also helps maintain lower prices. Yes, AMD made the correct choice by sticking with GDDR6.
