question about fps drops

Hi guys, when I play Fortnite, all the settings on Low, G, and Sync are enabled, and I'm experiencing many FPS drops.
My computer specs are:
- Intel i5 8600K
- 8x2 with 16GB RAM at 3200MHZ
- Nvidia 1080GTX
I have some questions: when GSync is turned on in the Nvidia settings, should the vertical sync be set to / On / Off / Fast?
I'm seeing FPS drops around 20 to 30.
My monitor is an AlienWare 240Hz G-sync.

every driver is working properly after the Windows format.
i usually see around 144 to 240 fps, but sometimes it drops to 20 to 60.
