I recently installed a new PC. Key details: Ryzen 9 7900x3d Sapphire RX 6800 GPU, 32GB Vengeance 6000 RAM, 2TB Evo SSD, MSI Pro B650M-A, 6000 MB Wi-Fi. I’m using two old LG Flatron E2340T monitors at 60 Hz. My issue is that I want my frame rate locked at 60 FPS constantly. I play World of Warcraft, which I think should run smoothly on this setup. In-game latency is around 49 ms both at home and online. My actual frame rate varies between 47 and 59 FPS, sometimes dropping lower. My internet is fiber optic to the house, then hardwired with Cat 6e. Could my Adrenaline settings be incorrect, or are there other problems? Or could it be a combination of both? Or maybe it’s just normal? I’m not sure.
Yes, I completed everything—drivers, bios, background processes. Most regular tasks were handling, though I didn’t install any other programs I’m aware of. I’ll recheck the motherboard bios later, but since I updated it weeks ago after finishing the build, I’m confident it’s okay.
Internet performance should remain independent of game framerate. A latency of 49ms is acceptable. Run HWinfo during gameplay to check for elevated temperatures or GPU underuse, ensuring smooth 60+ FPS at 1080p.
Is the display cable connected to the motherboard or the GPU? It’s wise to verify that. Also, confirm the game is using the dedicated GPU rather than the built-in one in Windows graphics settings. Some reports mentioned issues with scheduling between the two CCDs on the 7900X3D when it launched.
I have a CPU temperature monitor but no specific tool for the GPU I’m aware of. I’ll look into Adrenaline to see if they offer GPU temperature tracking on their screen. Everything seems to be connected correctly and the game automatically picks the video card, so that’s confirmed. I’d also like to investigate how the CCD scheduling works.
I saved the AMD Ryzen Master control software and feel completely overwhelmed. I'm worried about making any changes, but it seems both CCDs were running while I was using it. I'm really unsure what all this means and it's a bit intimidating to discover how much I don't understand.
