Question about DPC watchdog issues and ineffective solutions.
Hello, I shared my experience about a RAM problem I encountered (https://forums. a few months back, and believed it had been fixed. Since then, I've experienced more issues. After getting a 4090, everything seemed to work well for over a month, including playing Cyberpunk with ray tracing. However, I recently started facing frequent DPC watchdog warnings, sometimes freezing in the BIOS, and other times when trying to open a YouTube video. It appears that whenever I have more than one RAM stick in the A2 slot, the PC becomes unstable. This issue has persisted even after a fresh Windows 11 installation. I've updated the BIOS, GPU, and SATA AHCI drivers, but nothing has changed. The SFC scan shows no problems, and standard search results also don’t indicate anything. I've also tried a new PSU without any improvement. I purchased additional RAM with double the capacity, but the same problems continue. Could it be that the motherboard is the root cause? Is there any chance it's related to the CPU or GPU? Thank you for your assistance. Please feel free to share any logs if they can help diagnose the situation. I’m currently using a ZOTAC GeForce RTX 4090 Trinity OC, an i9-13900KF, with two Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 64GB 5200MHz units. I previously used Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5 32GB 6200MHz. The PSU is a 1000W Corsair HX1000, and I’ve tried a ROG Loki 1000W, but it didn’t help. The motherboard is a Z690 gaming Wi-Fi card.
Was das Entfernen der GPU und die Nutzung der CPU-Grafik nicht geholfen?
What type of cooler are you using? Have you considered loosening the screws on the cooling plate to make sure it isn<|pad|>, not tightly secured? Another possible solution would be to remove the CPU, inspect the motherboard surface and the CPU for debris, thermal paste, or irregular gold surfaces/contact pins. If this check reveals no issues, you might proceed to replace the motherboard.
While installing the new PSU I checked the CPU and applied fresh thermal paste, everything seemed okay. The Cool is a DeepCool LS720 with 3 120mm fans. I didn’t think it would be too tight, so I tried it out. The main concern is whether the motherboard or Asus will respond soon.
Asus replied. They simply asked for a refund, which is why I did. I purchased an MSI MEG z690 Unify, and it was half the price thanks to Black Friday.
Purchased an MSI MEG Z690 UNIFY, but it appears the Asus Rog Strix z690-f motherboard was the source of problems.
I've tested multiple emulators and cyberpunk without any crashes. Everything is idling at 1% with no spikes. Both RAM sticks are detected and functioning properly.
