I'm dealing with a problem involving my Corsair K70 LUX keyboard. This issue seems to be specific to my desktop setup, as it works perfectly when connected to my laptop. The Corsair iCue application started behaving oddly this morning (which happens at least twice annually). I verified there were updates available and installed them. However, shortly after, the keyboard ceased responding entirely—no keys are pressed, no lights are displayed, etc. I ran Revo Uninstaller to fully remove the iCue software and then powered down my system. To confirm a clean slate, I disconnected my power supply for 10 to 20 seconds (this resolved similar issues before). After restarting, I noticed a few lights on the keyboard, but when the Windows login screen appears, the keyboard remains unresponsive. None of the keys react. I searched online and attempted a factory reset by unplugging the keyboard, holding down the ESC key while reconnecting, and keeping it pressed for 5 to 10 seconds before releasing. This reset cleared all settings and made the keyboard fully functional again—Windows even emitted a detection sound confirming a USB plug-and-play device was present. Still, no keys are responding. I haven’t used any USB hubs. I tested the keyboard in four different USB ports on the motherboard and in front panel ports of my case, but it never registered any key presses. I also tried using the keyboard with iCue completely removed and then reinstalled it fresh. On my desktop, nothing works at all. I currently have a backup keyboard, but I’m seeking advice from others who might have faced similar problems.

I’m feeling quite frustrated with this Corsair iCue setup. I don’t want to rely on Corsair lighting or troubleshooting for my next build. At least twice a year, I need to completely uninstall and reinstall the software to fix these annoying issues. But this time, my keyboard isn’t connecting properly with my desktop.

When sharing a troubleshooting post, it's important to provide complete system details. List the specifications as follows:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
Storage: SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. Also mention the BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.
Which Corsair iCUE app version are you using? Attempt to reinstall your platform chipset or USB drivers manually by right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator. If you have an extra SSD, consider deleting all drives and restarting the OS to check if it affects your setup.
Personally, I prefer Keychron Q1v2 over Corsair and Razer because they encourage using iCUE and Synapse, even though alternatives exist for built-in controls. I chose Keychron Q1v2 and received one for my siblings.
Moved the thread from the Components section to the Computer Peripherals section.

I actually resolved this problem. I’ll share what I did here so others can follow if they encounter the same issue.
With my backup keyboard, I pressed the Windows key and typed 'Device Manager' in the search bar, then opened the device manager in Windows. I connected the Corsair keyboard via a USB port. In Device Manager, under keyboards, I located "Corsair composite virtual input device." I right-clicked it and chose "Uninstall device." Then I right-clicked again and selected "Update driver," which automatically found and reinstalled the driver. The keyboard is now working properly.
I’m not sure what iCue version was before this started, but I’m currently using the latest available—5.34.66.
