Hi there, I've been away from the tech scene for a while. Yesterday I bought COD MW III 2023. At first it loads very slowly and crashes immediately. I've tried reloading but nothing changes. All my drivers are up to date, and my Windows is 10. My system runs a Ryzen 5 1600 and a GeForce 2070 with 16GB RAM—definitely not the latest, but it should handle the game reasonably well.

I somehow managed to break out of prison and once the second level started, the game stopped working. I even tried safe mode and changed my startup settings in msconfig. Is this issue with my system or with the game itself?

I was able to run the latest version without any problems. Thanks very much for your feedback!

When sharing a troubleshooting post, it's important to provide detailed system specifications. List them clearly as requested: CPU, CPU cooler, motherboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, GPU, PSU, chassis, OS, monitor. Include the PSU age along with its make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this time. What Nvidia GPU driver version are you using now? Keep the thread title short for quick reading, but the body should clearly explain the issue. Can you clarify what you mean by crashing?

CPU: amnd ryzen 5 1600
CPU cooler: whatever came with the motherboard.
Motherboard: asus strix 8350
Ram: 16gig
SSD/HDD: ssd 1 tg
GPU: geforce 2070
PSU: 1200w
Chassis: old alienware case from 2008
OS: windows 10
Monitor: samgsuing 51 " monitor
The age of the PSU is included, along with its make and model. The latest BIOS version for your motherboard is 2017...
This system is definitely a few years old, yet it ran the previous game just fine. Based on what I’ve read, it seems like this game performs poorly across the board on such a machine?

it's a challenging 1200w power unit from thermaltake from 2008... the 2008 version isn't produced anymore. it's also hard to locate online.

I updated every cod of duty without any problems. Suddenly, just the title isn't working properly or it's not displaying correctly. Even the newest dead space runs are functioning fine.

When I was 15, I would say your PSU needs replacing long overdue.
