Question about Cash Register Thermal Printers
Question about Cash Register Thermal Printers
I got a Star TSP100 Eco printer and a thermal printer cash register printer. As a photographer, I wanted to test printing my photos on the thermal printer. I downloaded the drivers and software but the printer appears grayed out in my device list. I tried using Photoshop to print, but it doesn’t work even though it’s in the queue. When I connect the USB cable, it prints a receipt, so it seems functional at least. I’m using Windows 10 and have reinstalled the driver twice, but still can’t print photos from any software. I don’t have the DK cable for a cash register, so I’m not sure if that would help. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Oh ok, also it won't connect to bluetooth, it's asking for an ipv4 address. Does that matter?
Yes, it does print a text receipt but whatever is in the queue will not print
The device manager is saying it's not connected
It functions but doesn't display the image. I'm still considering memory issues.
Well, I admit I'm giving up—it shows up when I try to print from Photoshop, it's listed in Device Manager, but the print command doesn't function. I've done everything possible.
These printers are generally found in POS systems and are set up to produce receipt text, not images. Their memory capacity is limited to a single line, making them unsuitable for upgrades. The user manuals will include DIP switch configurations for different operating modes.
