Hello, for purchasing Star Citizen you should consider the full game package. It includes both single-player and online play without any extra ships, allowing you to progress from the basics. Let me know if you need more details!

You could choose a Mustang or Aurora starter package, and once you buy that, you can add the Squadron 42 (single player campaign) pledge for an extra $15. Sounds correct... @Wauthar @abyss03 @rentaspoon please verify?

It's clear, @Wander Away. I'll paste this directly here: The package split is already complete. If you're not aware, Star Citizen's multiplayer mode won't feature the standalone game Squadron 42, which adds extra cost. The campaign will connect to the PU with initial funds, status, and NPC interactions, though it's not essential. For starting vessels, you can choose the Aurora MR or Mustang Alpha starter sets, each with a ship, some in-game currency, and a hangar, plus a few extras for $45. You can still upgrade these ships if you want more power, but you won't get the extra perks of the standalone version. You can always change your ship later without losing package value, though you won't receive the bonus items. Be mindful that you can't lower your ship to save money without losing package benefits, and you won't get the extra rewards unless you complete a full purchase. Most players pick the Aurora MR, then upgrade to Aurora LN or Avenger Titan variants for better stats, and eventually reach the ultimate builds. If you go with the Mustang Alpha, you'll move up to Mustang Beta for exploration ships, then Avenger Titan or variants. You can always adjust your path however you like. Keep an eye out for the ships mentioned in the mini-PU. Let's catch up soon in the Verse!
