Running Windows 11 should work without changes unless you replace the CPU, in which case a reset is necessary.

It's fine leaving it enabled. It's a security setting in the bios, if you change your CPU it'll prevent access to keys the old CPU was using. It will effect bitlocker and whatnot if you have that enabled.

Absolutely, and I didn't realize about the encrypted information—it vanishes completely if you reset the TPM. Only do it as a last resort. For safety, if you keep the same machine but upgrade the CPU, always back up your system and data beforehand.

Yes, you're correct. Without a dedicated TPM module, enabling the FIRMWARE TPM setting in Windows 11 is necessary.
