Avoid v-sync to reduce GPU tearing and overheating. Enter the command gametime.maxvariablefps 60 in the console. For lasting changes, generate a file named user.cfg in the main Battlefield directory and save it.

The game will show a bit more delay when using v-sync. Running it in windowed borderless behaves similarly to v-sync without adding lag, so it’s unnecessary. I rarely use v-sync except for CoD because my monitors are limited to 60Hz.
