I possess an i3-4350 dual-core processor running at 3.6GHz with hyperthreading, paired with an R9 280x graphics card. Playing BF3 on ultra delivers smooth 60-75 FPS. On some tougher maps it may dip to 55 FPS, but that’s the limit. With these specs could I handle BF4 at ultra 60 FPS in 1080p? Some say a quad-core setup is ideal, but I’m doing well on my dual core—just wondering if performance will improve in BF3. Thanks!

On my i5 3470, it would freeze when usage reached over 95%.

Everything looks good. Expect around 50-60 frames per second on average if it's not too busy. The dual-core i3 should handle it well since the game treats those extra cores like regular ones.

You're likely running about 10-20 frames per second lower than your FPS in BF3, but BF4 seems to strain your CPU more. If you notice those frame drops, it's probably the main issue.

I possess comparable details, specifically an I3 3220 and a 770. At 1200p, my performance is solid, delivering around 57-70 FPS.

On Windows 8 or 8.1 you experience a smooth frame rate because the system is fine-tuned for that version. -gets tackled, tied up, and dragged off into a van

Turn on the mantle feature, reach ultra settings, turn off MSAA, and at 100-110% scaling you’ll see a significant boost in frame rate.
