I recently purchased a new Asus laptop running Windows 11. While other PCs ran Windows 10, I kept using Windows 11. I experienced some issues when switching from Windows 10 to Windows 11 on the new laptop. The support site didn’t provide drivers for the laptop, so I managed to get basic functionality working but still faced around 12 unknowns in the device manager. Asus support informed me they only had drivers for Windows 11 and not for Windows 10. It was a good laptop overall, but I decided to return it for a refund.

What’s the issue with Windows 11? I’m worried about the hard drive being restored to its original state before you brought it back. Otherwise, the next buyer could face the same troubles you did. Eventually, the seller might find out the installation was altered and refuse to accept a return from someone unrelated to your actions. This effectively cancels the warranty, leaving the responsibility on another party who will have to bear the consequences.
