the tuf f15 fx506 typically come with 2 ram slots, as observed on my friend's laptop (same fx506 but lh, 2020 version perhaps?)

The ASUS site lists five different configurations, which is confusing. Is this connected to the CPU? For my model i5-11400H, I have 5 options: 8GB DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM (up to 32GB total), two 8GB units, two 16GB units, and one 16GB unit.

The specifications seem typical, you can choose one or two RAM modules, though it would have been better if the system displayed a combined total rather than just the number of sticks or modules. Therefore, the 8GB x2 configuration appears to equal 16GB overall when using two 8GB sticks.
